Municipal solid waste management plant: 126 Bighas of government land in village Kenduwal tehsil Nalagarh has been identified for this purpose. ICRA macs is doing the techno economic feasibility report for setting up the Solid waste plant on a BOT basis.

Green BBN initiative

BBNDA has launched green BBN initiative in Baddi Barotiwala core area with the aim of providing green cover along the road sides in the industrial areas. For this purpose broad operational guidelines and detailed technical guidelines have been framed.

Development of green parks on PPP

BBNDA has launched an initiative of improving the existing green parks in BBN area. As a part of this exercise the initial cost of civil works for development of parks shall be borne by BBNDA/ local authorities and the plantations and its maintenance shall be done by the respective industries to whom the park shall be handed over for this purpose. 22 parks have been identified under this programme in the first phase.

Infrastructure development works:

BBNDA has been given the task to improve basic infrastructure of BBN area. Rs 20 Crores have been allocated to it for this purpose. A list of development works taken up in the current financial year is as per the following details.

A uniform signage plan for entire BBN area has been planned and is being implemented in a phased manner.

Public toilets:

Sites for public toilets to be built on PPP format are being identified in a phased manner. In the first phase 5 public toilets are being taken up in critical areas.

BOT projects:

ICRA macs is doing a detailed TEFR on Sewerage cum common effluent treatment plant for Baddi Barotiwala core area and for Solid waste management plant. There is also a plan to develop integrated transport hub on BOT basis in future.
