Transport Nagar |

This project is
proposed for parking of goods and other
transport vehicles which otherwise remain parked
at various points in BBN area and create road
blocks besides proving a hazard for pedestrians.
The Transport Nagar would have provision for
work-shops for transport vehicles that would
reduce the hazardous parking before workshops
now functioning at various places in the area.
Following shall be the main facilities proposed
to be covered under this scheme:

Parking facility.
·
Ware- housing facility.
·
Service stations.
·
Weigh bridge.
·
Filling stations.
·
Commercial areas.
Task of preparing the prefeasibilty report of this project has been assigned to
ILFS. A government land of roughly 715 bighas has been identified for this
project. A study to undertake site suitability is being done. |

Sewage Treatment Plant for Baddi- Barotiwala
area |

A Common Effluent Treatment Plant and Sewerage Treatment Plant is envisaged for
BBN area. The task of development of project on BOT basis for Baddi Barotiwala
core area has been assigned to ICRA macs. The feasibility of combining common
effluent treatment plant after the primary treatment of effluents within the
industries with the sewerage project shall also be studied. Technical
consultants are being hired for preparation of technical DPR.
In the mean time IPH department has designed and estimated the
sewerage network pipelines along the stretch of road about 4.2 Km long on
Baddi-Sai Road which is the main commercial centre of Baddi Town The Project
cost is Rs. 5.7 crore and it shall be shortly taken up for execution.

Surface and Storm Water Drainage System
for Baddi |

Due to inadequate provision of this system in Baddi Barotiwala area, the waste
water and storm water collects on the road. This water blockage damages the
roads and also causes public nuisance and public health problem. There is a plan
to redesign the storm water drainage system in Baddi Barotiwala core area and to
shift to under ground surface/storm water drainage system where ever feasible.
The process to engage technical consultant for preparing this is underway and
short listing of firms has been done after inviting E.O.I. With the provision of
this system not only the roads can be maintained easily but sanitation
conditions could be improved. |

Club house cum convention centre at Baddi |

BBNDA
plans to develop a modern club house cum
convention centre in Baddi having latest
facilities for exhibitions, conferences,
recreation, games, leisure etc. The project
shall be undertaken on a public private
partnership mode. The process to hire
architects/ consultancy firms for detailed
drawings/building plans is underway. |
